Track & Field Returns to Action in the Carolina Invitational

STATESBORO, Ga. - The Georgia Southern track & field team returns to indoor action Friday at the Carolina Invitational in Chapel Hill, N.C.
The Lady Eagles will face 19 teams in the Invitational.
Competition starts off with the weight throw and ends Friday night with the 4 x 400 relay.
Track & Field had a solid performance at the Niswonger Invitational (Jan. 30-31).
Demetrise Anthony (Manchester, Ga.) picked up Georgia Southern's best finish of the day. She tied for fourth place in the 60 meter dash with a time of 7.89.
Georgia Southern finished seventh in the distance medley event with a time of 11:58.05. Relay members include: Laura Fuller (Cartersville, Ga.), London Ryles (Decatur, Ga.), Ashley Bush-Hardy (Fayetteville, Ga.) and Shauntel Jennings (Stone Mountain, Ga.).
Morgan Jefferson (Villa Rica, Ga.) finished 12th in the 800 meter run with a time of 2:27.73.
Georgia Southern returns to action next weekend at the Clemson Invitational.
