
Cole Fountain Selected for Second UPC "Lineman of the Week" Honor

STATESBORO, Ga. - After last weekend's critical victory over Chattanooga, Eagle fans voted Cole Fountain the Utilities Protection Center "Lineman of the Week".
In the 30-20 Georgia Southern win, Fountain and the offensive line helped Georgia Southern outgain UTC 320- 241 with the Eagles taking a decisive 188-33 advantage on the ground. Fountain received 45.1 percent of the votes and is being honored for the second time in 2009 and the third time in his career as UPC "Lineman of the Week. He won the first week's award following the Albany game and earned the honor after the 2008 Austin Peay game.
More than 2,000 Eagle fans voted this week and the UPC "Lineman of the Week" is selected each week by fans who select the top lineman in the poll each week on www.GeorgiaSouthernEagles.com. Fans can begin voting on Mondays and check for the announcement of the winning lineman on Fridays.
