Registration
- As long as your child is registered before Saturday, September 13th the fee is only $30.00, which can be done by contacting the ticket office at 1 800 GSU WINS.
The $35.00 fee only applies if you show up the day of the event and you have not registered your child. On Saturday there will be a sign-in table at the front lobby of Hanner Fieldhouse. Each parent/guardian will need to sign their child in and sign a waiver of participation. IT IS IMPORTANT THAT WHO EVER SIGNS THE CHILD IN IS THE SAME PERSON THAT IS GOING TO PICK UP THE CHILD AFTER THE EVENT. IF NOT, PLEASE NOTIFY US WHEN YOU SIGN IN YOUR CHILD. This is to make sure each child is accounted for when pre-game is over and each child leaves the field with the appropriate individual. For example if one parent is dropping the child off, but another parent is picking the child up simply notify us at sign-in
Tickets
- The cost of each child's ticket is factored into the registration fee. If parents would like to attend the football game, they will need to purchase a ticket. The price of an adult general admission is $22.00 and it is $10.00 for an additional youth general admission ticket.
- You will have the opportunity to purchase tickets to the football game at sign in. This will make it easier for the parents that are attending the game.
Dress Code
- Each child should wear athletic attire. Athletic shorts and a t-shirt are recommended, since each child will receive a t-shirt when they sign in. If your child would prefer to wear their uniform that is acceptable. Athletic shoes and socks are required.
Directions
- Hanner Fieldhouse, where the Cheer & Yell Leader activities will take place, is located off of Hwy 67(
- If you are coming from Hwy 301 South, follow Hwy 301 south until you get to the 67/301 split. You will see a Sonic on your left just before you get to the split. You will see railroad tracks ahead and you will want to turn left at the tracks to take Hwy 67. Stay straight once you are on Hwy 67 and you will turn right at the second traffic light to get to Hanner Fieldhouse.
- If you have trouble finding the gym or if I did not include directions for the route you are traveling, please contact me at my office 912-478-9467. If you get lost on the day of the event, please call me on my cell phone 912-536-5940 and I will guide you to Hanner Fieldhouse.
Schedule
1:00 pm ? 1:30 pm Registration, GSU Cheerleaders will stand at front lobby and take kids to the back gym
1:30 pm ? 3:30 pm Kids work with Cheerleaders
3:30 pm ? 4:00 pm Kids have pizza snack and pictures with GUS and the cheerleaders.
4:00 pm Parents pick up kids and take them to football players' entrance Paulson arriving by 6:15 pm
6:15 pm Kids must be at football players' entrance to Paulson wearing their t-shirt or cheerleading uniform. Kids will be escorted onto field to lead cheers and make tunnel for football players
6:58 pm Parents need to meet and pick up their kids back at football players' entrance to Paulson.
7:00 pm Game Begins
Pictures
- Pictures will be taken during the two hour clinic and posted on the GSU cheerleader's website for the parents to download. The web site address is: http://gsucheer.smugmug.com
- Each child will have their picture taken with GUS, the Georgia Southern University, mascot and those pictures will be posted on the site as well for the parents to download.
- From 3:30 pm until 4:00 pm we would like to invite the parents to the back gym for pictures. We can only allow the 30 minute period because GUS and the Cheerleaders will need to prepare for the game later that evening.
