FRESHMAN (2008): Started 15 games and appeared in one other... Recorded four shots with one on goal... Started the first five games of the season... Tallied shots against Northern Iowa (Aug 29), Mercer (Sep 12) and Appalachian State (Oct 19).
PREP: Played for the four-time Michigan State and two-time Region II champions, the Michigan Hawks, a team that ultimately placed third at nationals twice... While playing for the Hawks from 2004-2008, Naife also played on the ODP state team during the same window... At Walled Lake Northern HS, the Knights had a winning season all four years, where she earned several honors, including all-division, -area, -district and -state individual accolades... As a senior and a captain, she was named top offensive player after tallying 13 goals and six assists, and earned individual academic all-state, -conference and -state honors... In the classroom, she made the honor roll each year and is a member of the National Honor Society.
PERSONAL: Born Christina Marie Naife on April 12, 1990 in Southfield, Michigan to Paul & Jennifer Naife... Hobbies include: soccer, swimming, running, shopping, and spending time with friends... The three people she would invite to dinner are Paula Deen, Oprah Winfrey and Kelly Ripa... People would be surprised to know that she loves to sing karaoke... Chose Georgia Southern because of the friendly people, campus, academics and the weather... Favorite sports figure is Marta Vieira de Silva.
