Track and Field Concludes Georgia Tech Invitational

The sophomore from Westside high school finished in eighth place in the women's long jump on Friday with a mark of 18'09.75”. On Saturday she placed tenth in the women's triple jump with a mark of 39'09.75”.
Lynndsey Hyter (Dallas, Texas) finished right behind Hamilton in eleventh place with a score of 39'07.75”. Demetrise Anthony (Manchester, Ga.) finished in thirteenth place with a score of 39'05.75”.
On Friday Georgia Southern had two other athletes compete in the women's long jump. Demetrise Anthony came in at seventh place with a mark of 19'02.75”. Hyter finished in ninth place with a mark of 18'09.75”.
Saturday's action saw Jennifer Charles ( Green Cove Springs, Fla.) finished in tenth place in the women's shot put with a mark of 44'02.50”. Carla Ballard (Morrow, Ga.) also finished in thirteenth place in the women's 400 meter hurdles with a time of 1:01.72 and Shauntel Jennings (Stone Mountain, Ga.) finished in thirty second place in the women's 800 meter run with a time of 2:15.33.
Georgia Southern will take the week off before traveling to the NCAA East Region Championships in Tallahassee, Fla. where those Eagles with regional qualifying marks will compete with an opportunity to head to the NCAA Championships in Des Moines, Iowa.
