Hooley enters her second season as assistant coach with the Eagles. In her first season, she helped Georgia Southern to a third place finish at the Coastal Collegiate Swimming Association championships, including breaking an unprecedented 17 of 19 school records.
Hooley was named all-conference all four years as a swimmer at Gardner-Webb and won conference Individual championships in 2006 and 2008. Hooley set a new NEC meet and school record with her first-place time of 57.61 in the 100 back at the NEC Championships in 2006. She was named team captain her senior season and was a scholar-athlete. Hooley holds numerous conference and team records including the 100 and 200 backstroke and the 100 yard fly.
She also helped Gardner-Webb to three straight conference championships.
Whitney Hooley is a native of Wooster, Ohio and is currently pursuing a master's degree in coaching at Georgia Southern.
