Fans who missed the first airings of Under the Lights: Georgia Southern Football can watch the show again on Saturday (Oct. 18) at 6 p.m. on SportSouth, following the Eagles' televised game against Appalachian State. The show will also air again on October 23 at 9:30 p.m.
The 30-minute all-access special spotlights the traditions surrounding the Georgia Southern football program and chronicles the Eagles preparation for their season opener against then top-ranked University of Georgia.
A SportSouth camera and sound crew were embedded with the Georgia Southern football team to cover intense summer three-a-day practices and capture the tradition that embodies the program, from the legend of team's first head coach Erk Russell to “Beautiful Eagle Creek” and the rundown school buses that take the team to Paulson Stadium on game day. A wireless microphone worn by head coach Chris Hatcher during practice and the game provides unprecedented insight into what Georgia Southern football is all about.
SportSouth has created appointment viewing for its SportSouth Originals franchise. A two-hour block of SportSouth Originals begins every Sunday night at 8 p.m. ET and includes programs such as Under the Lights; In My Own Words; Spotlight; At Home and Straight Up.
