Made an immediate impact, placing at the top 10 of three tournaments... Took medalist honors at the Trans America Athletic Conference Championship, firing a tournament record 206 (six under par)... Finish second at the 1987 NCAA championship as an individual, missing the cut after three rounds.... Lead the team with 74.21 scoring average; 73.26 during the spring... Struggled slightly as a senior, averaging 74.40 strokes per round... Tied for seventh at the Southeastern Intercollegiate, his only top 10 finish of the season... Helped the Eagles to a 14th-place finish in the 1988 NCAA Championship... Advanced to the semifinals of the 1987 U.S. Amateur, earning a spot in the 1988 Masters... started on the Nike Tour in 1982.
