Larry Lipker

Larry Lipker begins his second year as the head groundskeeper at J.I. Clements Stadium.

No stranger to collegiate baseball, Lipker spent 12 years as an assistant and head coach. He was the pitching coach at Campbellsville for two years. Lipker spent five years as the pitching coach at Morehead State University. While at MSU he worked with Washington Nationals' pitcher Jon Rauch, one of seven players Lipker coached who were drafted or played professional baseball.

From 2002-05 he was the head coach at Viterbo College, finishing his tenure as the program's winningest coach and leading them to a regional runner-up finish in 2001. Lipker was the head coach at King College before joining the Eagle Baseball program.

Lipker and his wife Dawn, the Graduate School Recruitment Coordinator in the Admissions Office at Georgia Southern, reside in Statesboro.
