JUNIOR (2006-07): Despite battling an injury, earned the starting nod in 18 out of 26 games played... Started off the season with a team-high 16-point, seven-rebound performance versus Stetson (11/12) shooting a perfect 4-of-4 from the charity stripe... Led the Lady Eagles when she pulled down a season-high eight rebounds at Jacksonville State (Nov. 15) going 4-of-6 from the charity stripe... With two others, led the team with five rebounds versus Western Illinois (11/25)... Her 4-of-8 shooting from the field and team-best 11 points helped the Lady Eagles regain a late lead and win over South Alabama (11/28)... Her season-best 7-of-10 from the free-throw line helped give the Lady Eagles the come-from-behind victory at Central Florida (12/1) as she scored a team-best 14 points and blocked one shot... Tallied a season-best three steals and three assists versus Jacksonville (12/13)... Pulled down a season-high tying eight rebounds versus Charleston (12/16)... Had a season-high tying three steals and one blocked shot versus Troy (12/21)... Netted a season-high tying 16 points on 7-of-13 shooting in a win versus Furman (12/30)... SOPHOMORE (2005-06): Appeared in all 29 games with 25 starts... Scored in 28-of-29 contests on the season... Led the team in blocked shots (15)... Tied for second on team with 36 total steals on the season... Fourth on the team in scoring (8.6 ppg)... Scored a career-best 14 points in the season-opener at Florida State (11/18) shooting a career-high 7-of-14 from the field... FRESHMAN (2004-05): Appeared in all 30 games with nine starts... Second on the team with 11 blocks and tied for third with 32 steals... Enjoyed a fine all-around outing at Savannah State (2/17) playing 28 minutes, with five steals and two blocks... Also played well in the first meeting with SSU (11/24), recording the first of her two 13-point outings while grabbing eight rebounds with three assists and one block... Pulled down a career-high nine rebounds at Furman (2/14)... Played a career-high 25 minutes, scoring 13 points, tying her career high against College of Charleston (1/24)... Earned first career start at Western Carolina (1/22)... Dished out a career-high three assists at Appalachian State (12/21)... Scored first career points at Eastern Kentucky (11/20)... Played seven minutes and grabbed four rebounds in her career debut against Jackson State (11/19).
HIGH SCHOOL: Led the Wildcats to the regional semifinals in her final year... Earned four letters in basketball at Booker T. Washington High School... Averaged 15 points and seven rebounds for coach Ronnie Bland as a senior... A three-time MVP for the Wildcats... Named All-Area as a senior... Team captain for three years... PERSONAL: Born Shawnda Reena Atwood on March 17, 1986 in Pensacola, Fla. to George & Susan Atwood... Enjoys drawing as a hobby... If she could have seen one moment in history, she would have chosen the “Last Supper”... People she would want to invite to dinner would be MJ, Halle Barry, Denzel Washington and Dwyane Wade... One word that describes her is “crazy”... Person that is the greatest influence as an athlete is her mother... Favorite ice cream is butter pecan.
