After finishing out her collegiate career as a member of the Georgia Southern Swimming and Diving team, assistant coach Florrie Cunningham enters her third season as an assistant coach with the Eagles program.
An accomplished swimmer throughout her prep and collegiate career, Cunningham set school records in the 50 Free, 100 Free, 100 Fly and 200 Fly while at Warner Robins High and lettered all four years while with the Eagles. A recipient of the 2002 Eagle Pride Award, she was also honored with inclusion to the All Southern States Team in 2003.
In addition to her stellar career as a swimmer, Cunningham has also excelled in the classroom. To date, she has twice been named to the Northeast Conference Academic Honor Roll, has made the Dean's list a total of six semesters and the President's list two times. She was the 2003-'04 Georgia Southern Scholar/Athlete award winner for swimming.
