Kristen Barnhill

Kristen Barnhill is in her third year as graduate assistant coach, having joined the Georgia Southern staff in January 2007 after a one-year stint at American University.

Barnhill works primarily with the goalkeepers and helped Lauren Santos become the school's all-time saves leader.

In addition to responsibilities as the goalkeeper trainer, Barnhill is responsible for recruiting, equipment and monitoring student-athlete academic progress.

While at American, Barnhill helped guide the Eagles to a 9-7-2 overall record.

Barnhill spent her collegiate career at Maryland where she was a four-year letterwinner as goalkeeper, earning the starting position as a junior and senior. During Barnhill's last two seasons, the Terrapins went 13-8-1 (2002) and 11-8-2 (2003). Barnhill was named to the Atlantic Coast Conference Honor Roll from 2000-2002 and led the conference in saves during her senior year with 94.

A native of Charlottesville, Va., Barnhill attended Charlottesville High School where she was a four-year letterman as goalkeeper and a three-year letterwinner on the basketball court. While there, she was named to the All-Conference team all four years and was named the team's MVP as a junior and senior.
