Turned in one of the best statistical seasons ever by a Georgia Southern kicker... strong leg helped him win competition coming out of fall camp... eventually earned post-season honors and could do so again this year... comes out of spring drills as the number one kicker... did not record any statistics in abbreviated Blue-White game... JUNIOR (2007): Honorable Mention All-America... Second Team All-Southern Conference (coaches/sports media association)... kicked his way into the GS season record book.... two field goals (35 and 35 yards) in the season finale at Colorado State gave him 17 field goals, tying Tim Foley's 1987 record... 47 extra points in 47 attempts set a record for consecutive made in a season and extra points tied for seventh place among the GS season ?Top 10'... earned ?National Player of the Week' honors by the College Sporting News and The Sports Network (10/8)... three times named SoCon
?Special Teams Player of the Week' (10/8, 10/29, 11/5)... started the season with a 21-yard FG and six extra points against West Georgia...at Coastal Carolina nailed all six extra point attempts... versus Chattanooga hit a 19-yard FG and five extra points... in the Western Carolina game he converted three field goals (20, 27, 33) and five extra points... the South Dakota State game included
5-for-5 on extra points and 2-for-2 on field goals (24), including a careerbest 54-yarder as time expired in the 41-38 win... made four field goals at Elon (49, 29, 22, 41), one shy of the Georgia Southern record... was also part of sharing the NCAA Division I FCS record with nine combined FG made (done two other occasions) as Elon's kicker made five and Hartley nailed four... converted two field goals 23, 20) and an extra point against The Citadel to pick up his second SoCon honor... made a 31-yard field goal as the first half expired and converted five extra points as the Eagles won at Appalachian State... in the win at Wofford again proved to be the difference,
hitting a 44-yard FG in the fourth quarter for the final margin, along with five extra points... versus Furman set a season record for consecutive extra points made... tied for seventh nationally in FG and was 16th in scoring, averaging 8.9 points per game... converted his only extra point attempt during the Blue-White game... SOPHOMORE (2006): Redshirted to meet transfer requirements... AT TALLAHASSEE CC: Played one year at Tallahassee CC... AT FLORIDA A&M: Spent one year in the Rattlers program... HIGH SCHOOL: Earned six letters in soccer, football and baseball... First Team All-Big Bend Conference... named All-State in AAU baseball in 2000... was a 2004 CaliFlorida Bowl selection... member of the Lincoln HS state championship football team in 2001 and was state baseball runner-up in 2003...
