Named Freshman All-America in 1994... Louisville Slugger All-America in 1996 and also named to the Smith Super Team... Baseball Coaches Association All-Region... two-time All-Southern Conference and named to the 1995 SoCon All-Tournament Team... SoCon ‘Freshman of the Year’ and then in 1996 was voted SoCon ‘Player of the Year’... led the ’96 Eagles to the NCAA Regionals... still ranks 10th all-time with his .358 batting average (250 hits in 698 at-bats)... third all-time hitting 51 home runs, fourth with 454 total bases and sixth with 195 RBI... drafted in 1996 by the Minnesota Twins... led the nation during the ’96 season hitting 26 home runs, matching the second-highest season total by an Eagle... also still ranks among the season ‘Top 10’ leaders in total bases (tied sixth) and RBI (tied fifth).
