A four-year starter at second base for the Georgia Teachers College baseball team and a member of the varsity basketball team as a freshman... Considered by many to be the best second baseman ever to play at GTC... Led the Professors to 1957 NAIA regional playoffs. Has served 34 years in the field of education, 13 as head basketball coach at Richmond Academy n his hometown of Augusta and seven more as principal at Westside (Augusta) High School.
