Earned varsity letter as student trainer, while getting Bachelor's degree at Southern... Awarded Master’s degree from Indiana in 1966 and was head trainer at DePauw University in 1966-67... Returned to Statesboro for full-time appointment and to work on post-graduate degree... Became trainer with Charleston Baseball Club in 1971 and with the Royals Baseball Academy 1971-74... Moved to Omaha in 1975 and promoted to the American League's Kansas City Royals in 1978... An active consultant, author and public speaker, he is considered one of leading national consultants of physical fitness, athletic injury rehabilitation and working with handicapped... Has had 16 magazine articles published on athletic injuries and has authored a book, Baseball Injuries and Training Tips... Member of Johns Hopkins University advisory board for "Little League Baseball for Handicapped"... Liaison to National Football League regarding National Academy of Sports Vision... Selected as American League Trainer for All-Star games in 1982 and 1990... Participated in five American League Divisional Championships and two World Series with Royals... Named Statesboro Jaycee's ‘Man of the Year’ in 1969.
