A standout offensive and defensive end for the Blue Tide of South Georgia Teachers College. Also starred on the baseball diamond, where he was known for his hitting and great speed. One of the most inspirational and revered athletes in the early days of the university. Went on to make a name for himself in the Jesup and Wayne County athletic circles, where he has been an avid supporter of high school and youth league sports for several decades. Passed away in April 2011.
