A four-year letterman at offensive tackle (1983-86). Helped the Eagles to first two national championships in 1985 and 1986. Chosen first team All-America by the Associated Press following senior season. Born March 14, 1964 in Vidalia, Georgia. One of the greatest athletes to ever play at Georgia Southern. Moved into the starting lineup as a senior after playing a reserve role for his first three campaigns. Originally a tight end for the Eagles. Played professional football with the Los Angeles Rams and the Washington Redskins. Was an All-Coastal Empire selection by the Savannah News-Press while at Vidalia High.
