STATESBORO, Ga. – Georgia Southern continued its success on the courts, remaining unbeaten on the season with a 7-0 victory over Savannah State. Head coach Sean McCaffrey notches his third win with the Eagles and the Blue and White are unbeaten to begin the season for the second consecutive year in a row.

The Blue and White got out to an early lead sweeping doubles on all three courts. Arianne de Winter and Lindsay Truscott made quick work of their opponents winning 6-0 on court one. Paula Boixader and Charlotte van Diemen continued the Eagles dominance with a 6-1 victory on court two.

The Eagles took the doubles point and ran with it, using their momentum in singles play. Mila Hartig continued her dominance, as the freshman defeated Rachida el Kateb 6-4, 6-0 in straight sets. Paula Boixader notched her first singles victory as an Eagles, playing in the No. 4 position and winning 6-7, 6-1, 10-2 to help the Eagles improve to 3-0.

Lindsay Truscott defeated her opponent in straight sets, while Arianne de Winter remained unbeaten on the season with a 6-4, 6-2 victory over her opponent. Paige Christian also earned her first singles victory of the season playing in the No. 6 spot. She defeated Shakendra Alston 6-1, 6-1 enroute to the Eagles 7-0 sweep of Savannah State.
