Women's Tennis snaps five match losing streak splitting weekend road trip
STATESBORO, Ga. – This past weekend the Women's Tennis team traveled to Jackson, Mississippi and Monroe, Louisiana to face off against Jackson State and Sun Belt Conference opponent UL-Monroe. The Eagles would split the weekend defeating JSU on Saturday and falling to ULM on Sunday. Next up for the blue and white is a trip to Mobile, Alabama, where they will face off against Troy and Appalachian State in the second Sun Belt Pod weekend they will attend.
JACKSON STATE – The Eagles jumped out to an early lead against Jackson State after the doubles teams of Giulia Riepe/Arianne de Winter and Emilia Bujan/Ella Monsey defeated their opponents to give the Eagles a 1-0 lead. The blue and white would keep up the pressure taking three of the necessary six singles matches to defeat the Tigers 4-3, snapping a five match losing skid.

UL-MONROE – On Sunday afternoon the Eagles took on ULM in the third of five Sun Belt Conference matches they will play this season. The blue and white fell to the Warhawks 7-0, after dropping the doubles point. Women's Tennis will now have the week off before heading to Mobile, Alabama for a Sun Belt Pod weekend.
