STATESBORO, Ga. – After splitting the weekend matches in Florida, the women's tennis team will return home to host Savannah State on Thursday at 2:00 PM. The Eagles enter play 4-1 after falling to UCF ending the undefeated start to the season. The blue and white will have nine days off following Thursdays match against the Tigers, before heading to Atlanta to take on Georgia Tech.

Michele Stanford said. "We have recently been working on some areas in our game that needed improvements, and as a team, we are looking forward to producing some strong results."

Last time out the Eagles traveled to Florida to take on Stetson and UCF. The Eagles would begin the weekend in Deland, Florida facing off against Stetson. The Eagles were able to get off to a quick start winning the doubles point. The Hatters would even the match at 3-3 before
Ella Monsey defeated Alexe Viaud 3-6, 6-3, 7-5, clinching the match 4-3. The women's tennis team would head to Orlando for the final road match before heading back to the friendly confines of Wallis Tennis Center. The Knights would jump out to an early 1-0 lead, winning the doubles point.

Ella Monsey would give the Eagles momentum defeating their opponents in straight sets, before falling 5-2.
