
Eagles Host Tennis Marathon for Breast Cancer Awareness

Women's tennis hosts marathon on January 13th
STATESBORO, Ga. – The Georgia Southern women's tennis team will be hosting their first ever "Tennis for Ta-Ta's" event in January to raise money for the Statesboro Bulloch County Breast Cancer Foundation.
Breast cancer affects one in eight women and is one of the four major cancers according to the American Cancer Society. The organization estimates there to be 252,710 new cases of breast cancer during 2017 alone.
The women's tennis team will host a tennis marathon on January 13, 2018 from 12:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. The team will be playing tennis throughout the day at the Wallis Tennis Center and invites members of the community to come to the event. The team will be teaching visitors various skills and playing games.
Money can either be donated per hour or in one amount. The event will also have a small entrance fee.
The team has set a goal to raise $1,500 and they have created a gofundme page where people can donate money. To donate to the cause click here.
