WHAT HEAD COACH SEAN MCAFFREY SAID
"I believe we had an overall good day here in Athens. Emi and Lot won their matches in the first round of singles qualifying. Both of the women did what was needed in order to advance. Emi had a difficult time finding her footing as she had a very tough opponent from UCF that never really allowed her to get into a rhythm. Charlotte looked in complete control of her match against Goldin of Florida State up 6-2, 2-1, 40-15, but allowed the other player to find a way to sneak back in. She lost a tough one but she will for sure learn from the experience and recognize that one can't give good players openings, they will for sure capitalize on them. I was very encouraged with the way Emi and Ella looked in their win over Stetson in doubles. They have both done a nice job working on their doubles game in the past few weeks and they came together nicely today."
