Eagles Host Trojans and Warhawks, Alumni and Seniors Honored

Alumni weekend holds a lot in store for the Blue and White including Senior Day

STATESBORO, Ga. – As the regular season draws to a close the competition begins to heat up. The Eagles currently hold 10 conference points and hold a 3-3-1 record. The Eagles enter play this weekend with a 6-6-2 record and are looking to continue their success.

Friday evening the Eagles will honor the alumni and celebrate the 25th anniversary of the women's soccer program here at Georgia Southern. The Eagles will recognize any alumni in attendance at halftime and will continue the celebration with this weekend being alumni weekend. The Blue and White will face off against Little Rock at Eagle Field on ESPN3. The Trojans enter play Friday with a 7-7-2 record and a 2-3-2 record in the conference.

Sunday afternoon the Georgia Southern women's soccer will honor the five seniors this season, prior to the start of the match. The Eagles will face off against the Warhawks of ULM, who enter play with a 3-12-1 record and a 3-5-0 record in conference. Sunday will be the final match of the season at home for the Eagles.

SCOUTING LITTLE ROCK
The Trojans are currently posting a 7-7-2 record and have a 2-3-2 record in the conference. The team averages 1.75 goals scored per game with a .472 shot on goal percentage. Doro Greulich leads the Trojans with five goals and a .405 shot on goal percentage. Quin Wilkes leads the team in assists with three and Megan Swanson has been in net for 11 games and has made 52 saves on the year.

SCOUTING UL-MONROE
The Warhawks enter play with a 3-12-1 overall record and are currently 3-5-0 in conference play. The team is coming off a win against Arkansas State. Danielle LaFrance led the team with her goal to win the game on a penalty kick. The Warhawks also won games against Coastal Carolina and Louisiana.

SERIES HISTORY
The Trojans and Eagles are currently tied in the series 1-1-1, with the last match being a Trojans victory 3-0 on 10-21-2016.

The Eagles currently lead the Warhawks 2-1-0 in the series, with the last match being a Warhawks victory 2-1 on 9-15-2016.

NEXT UP
The Eagles will conclude the 2017 season with a rescheduled road match against Troy (6-8-2) (4-3-0).
