STATESBORO, Ga. – Coming off of a 2-0 start last weekend, the Women's Tennis team returns to action Tuesday afternoon at 2 p.m. to face off against Presbyterian College. Presbyterian enters play with a 2-0 record after defeating North Carolina A&T and NC Central last weekend. The Eagles will cap off their home stand Tuesday, before heading to Deland, Florida to compete against Stetson this Saturday.

"This past weekend helped us to realize just how tenacious we are as a whole," said head coach
Michele Stanford. "Presbyterian is always a great team to compete against, and we are very eager to start out strong against them tomorrow. We know that the Blue Hose will put up a tough fight, but our team is ready for the challenge."
LAST TIME OUT

Last time out the Eagles competed against Alabama State and SCAD. They finished the weekend 2-0 defeating ASU 5-2 and SCAD 4-3. The Eagles were able to go ahead of the Hornets 5-0 before surrendering to late points.
Ella Monsey set the tone in singles play defeating her opponent in straight sets. Against SCAD the Eagles jumped out to an early 3-1 lead, before SCAD was able to even the score at 3-3.
Emilia Bujan was able to clinch the victory, defeating her opponent 5-7, 6-1, 6-4.
