Women's tennis loses 4-2 to the Mountaineers
ATLANTA.- In their last regular season match, the Georgia Southern women's tennis team fell to Appalachian State 4-2 on Sunday, despite entering the match on a three-match streak. The loss marks the third in conference play, to give the Eagles a 12-8 overall record and 2-3 conference record heading into the Sun Belt Tournament.
Along with the doubles point, the Mountaineers took three other singles matches for the clinch. Emilia Bujan (No.3) and Francisca Norregaard (No.5) lost in three sets, while Giulia Riepe (No.1) fell in two.
At the No.2 position, Mariana Ranzahuer won 2-6, 6-1, 6-1 to pick up her first conference victory of the season. Lindsay Truscott also earned a point for the Eagles at line three, winning 6-0, 6-2.
