Junior Sarah Price scores two goals to lift the Eagles to a win
JONESBORO, AR – The Georgia Southern Eagles and Arkansas State Red Wolves headed into overtime all tied up, but that didn't last long. Junior Sarah Price scored the game winning goal within the first minute of overtime to clench a win in the Eagles last game of the season.
Georgia Southern (6-10-1, 3-8-0 Sun Belt) and Arkansas State (6-7-3, 4-5-1 Sun Belt) took the pitch in Jonesboro for their last regular season game of the year. Arkansas State took the lead in the first half, freshman forward Julie Chambers scored in the 42nd minute to put the Red Wolves up heading into halftime. The Eagles were able to tie things up early in the second half when Sarah Price scored her first goal of the day on an unassisted strike. The teams remained tied throughout regulation and soon after overtime kicked off, Ashton Adams found an opening to Sarah Price who scored from 15 yards out to clench the victory.
