Swimming & Diving Opens Second Half of the Season at UNC Asheville and Clemson

Saturday’s meet opens a run of four events over two weeks
STATESBORO, GA. – The run-up to the CCSA Championships begins this weekend for Eagle Swimming & Diving with a swimming meet at UNC Asheville and diving competition at Clemson. Both meets start at 11 a.m. on Saturday.

"Coming off a 12-day break, we have been back training at full speed. We are anxious to race and this is the first of three opportunities to see who will step up and perform as we prepare for CCSA Championships, which are about six weeks away."
Diving Coach David Giambra
"The student-athletes just finished a long stretch of training and head to Clemson this weekend. Clemson is a strong side and this will be a competitive meet. This will be a great test for our team with the CCSA Championships coming up shortly."
Georgia Southern will be back home on Friday, Jan. 15, as SCAD and Gardner-Webb come to Statesboro for the first of two meets in back-to-back days. The annual GATA Game and Senior Day will start at 6 p.m. inside the Georgia Southern RAC Aquatics Center. One day later the same three teams square-off in Savannah at 1 p.m.
The 2015-16 Georgia Southern Swimming & Diving season culminates at the CCSA Championships on Feb. 17-20 in Athens, Ga.
