Georgia Southern Agriculture Game
November 14, 2020
Georgia Southern Football vs. Texas State
When Georgia Southern University was founded in 1906 as a school for teaching modern agricultural production techniques and homemaking skills to rural school children.
When First District Agricultural & Mechanical School’s inaugural academic year began in 1908, few could have foreseen a major American university growing out of four faculty members and 15 students in just a little more than one lifetime.
Now in its second century of service, Georgia Southern has close to 27,000 students, more than 2,000 faculty and staff, 141 programs of study at the bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral levels, and three vibrant campuses in Statesboro, Savannah and Hinesville.
In celebration of our roots as an Ag School, we’ve partnered with state commissioners and supporting sponsors to educate fans that Georgia agriculture is a part of their game day from tailgate to touchdowns.
Join us on Nov. 14 at the Case IH/Tidewater Agriculture Game Presented by the Georgia Cotton Commission, the Georgia Peanut Commission & Morris Bank.
