Bethany Sanford Named to COBRA Preseason All-American
STATESBORO, Ga. - Georgia Southern Volleyball player Bethany Sanford was selected to COBRA Magazine's All-Preseason Second Team after leading the Southern Conference in kills with 461. Sanford averaged 3.49 kills per set and led the team in total attacks.
The senior was an All-Southern Conference Second Team selection and also was an All-Southern Conference Tournament Team member in 2010. Sanford helped the Eagles to the 2010 Southern Conference Championship, their first since 2003.
The Avondale, Ariz., native is the only SoCon player listed on one of three Preseason All-American teams by the magazine. COBRA is dedicated to covering African American women who participate in collegiate volleyball.
