Hicks Pacing Track & Field in Birmingham
Birmingham, Ala.- The Georgia Southern Track and Field team finished the first day of the Birmingham Invite at the Birmingham CrossPlex Wednesday. Sophomore Stephanie Hicks (Trenton, N.J.) is pacing the Eagles, along with freshman Taylor Wade (Loganville), finishing 13th and 16th in the Pentathlon, respectively.
Hicks’ finish included a second place finish in the 60-Meter hurdles (8.84) and a fifth place finish in the Shot Put (10.69/35’01.00). Wade took fifth in the 800-Meter (2:38.37) and also placed sixth in the 800-Meter (8.95).
Junior Sara Curry (Lawrenceville, Ga.) also added a fourth place finish in the 5000-Meter run with a time of 18:17.86.
The Birmingham Invite continues tomorrow with a full slate of events, beginning at 9:40 a.m.
