Lynndsey Hyter Leads Track & Field in the First Day of Niswonger Invitational
STATESBORO, Ga. The Georgia Southern track & field team had a good first day of competition at the Niswonger Invitational.
Lynndsey Hyter (Dallas, Texas) gave Georgia Southern its best finish of the day. She finished second in the triple jump with a 12.27 meter mark.
Jasmine Lighting (Dacula, Ga.) gave the Lady Eagles their second top-10 finish on the day. She placed seventh in the pole vault with a mark of 1.61 meters.
Demetrise Anthony (Manchester, Ga.) placed 15th in the triple jump with a mark of 11.43 meters.
Senior Kristin Olson (Senoia, Ga.) got Georgia Southern’s day started with a 28th place finish in the 60m hurdles.
Sarah Herndon (Statesboro, Ga.) placed 19th in the weight throw with a mark of 12.69 meters. She also finished 25th in the shot put with a mark of 9.84 meters.
Shauntel Jennings (Stone Mountain, Ga.) finished 18th in the 800 meter run with a time of 2:24.60.
The Lady Eagles continue the Niswonger Invitational Saturday morning.
