The Women?s Tennis Team Will be participating in the UNF Invitational this Weekend

Statesboro, Ga. - The Women’s Tennis Team is set to participate in the University of North Florida Invitational in Jacksonville, Fla.

 

The Tournament features 12 women’s teams including: Bethune-Cookman, East Tennessee State, Florida International, Georgia Southern, Jacksonville, Middle Tennessee State, Samford, Stetson, South Carolina State, Troy, UAB and North Florida.

 

Kristi Kegerreis (Fairfax, Va.) and Ali Beavers (Kingsport, Tenn.) will play in the A singles draw.

 

Kegerreis will face Taylor Morgan from Samford in her first match of the tournament and Beavers is slated to face Aline Berkenbrock from UNF on Friday.

 

Jessica Fuller (Cartersville, Ga.), Molly Maddox (Rome, Ga.) and Melanie Rolle (Gainesville, Fla.) are in the B draw of singles of the UNF Invitational.

 

Fuller will face Samantha Lange from Stetson on Friday at 9:15 am. The winner of the match will face Megan Jones from FIU at 3:15 pm on Friday.

 

Maddox is slated to play Rebecca Kirven from Samford at 9:15 am on Friday and Rolle will face another Bulldog in Lindsey Mallory at 10:15 am.

 

Emma Knight (Duluth, Ga.), Shea Huxtable (Winter Springs, Fla.) and Christine Caforio (Acworth, Ga.) are participating in the C draw of singles.

 

Senior Knight will face Reijina Hopkins from Bethune-Cookman at 10:15 am.

 

Huxtable will receive a first round bye and will play the winner of the match between Leonie Giujt from Troy and Chanetra Brown from Bethune-Cookman at 4:15 pm.

 

Caforio will face Jacqueline Faulk from Stetson at 10:45 am on Friday.

 

Caforio and Rolle will face Natalie Araya and Anna Djananova from Middle Tennessee State at 8:00 am in the A draw of doubles.

 

Fuller and Kegerreis will also face a Middle Tennessee State pair in Marlene Chemin and Taylor Coffey in the B draw of doubles.

 

Knight and Maddox are set to face Vita Moskaliova and Andra Voinea from East Tennessee State in the C draw of doubles.

 

Also in the C draw action Beavers and Huxtable will face Megan Jones from Florida International and Elvira Yusupova from Jacksonville in their first match of the day.

 

The three day tournament starts Friday at 8:00 am and runs through Sunday.
