Women's Tennis Wraps Up Final Day of Thomasville Invitational

Statesboro, GA- The Georgia Southern Women’s Tennis team ended the Thomasville Invitational today.

 

It was a Georgia Southern showdown in the consolation bracket as Ali Beavers (Kingsport, Tenn.)  faced off against Kristi Kegerreis (Fairfax, Va.)   and Molly Maddox (Rome, Ga.) competed against Melanie Rolle (Gainesville, Fla.).

 

In doubles action, Beavers and Rolle were defeated in both of their matches by Georgia State’s Dariana Kozmina and Kiara Powell (8-4) and Florida A&M’s Alexis Brown and Kathleen Zurden (8-4).

 

Kegerreis and Maddox lost their first match against Valdosta State's Dominique Rothlaender and Karine Redon (8-3) but went on to beat West Florida

Suzanna Cavalcante and Taylor Brewster (8-5) taking them to the consolation final. In the consolation final Kegerreis and Maddox defeated Florida A&M’s Brown and Zurden.
