Women?s Tennis Releases 2008-09 Schedule

STATESBORO, Ga. - The Georgia Southern Women’s Tennis team has released its 2008-09 schedule.

The Lady Eagles will play in five fall tournaments. The first of which, the Brevard Mountain Invitational, starts on September the 5^th and goes through the 7^th. It is being held in Brevard, N.C.

The next time the Women’s Tennis team hits the court will be on the 12^th of September at the Thomasville Invitational. The tournament is being held at Thomasville, Ga.

The Lady Eagles will play in two more Georgia based tournaments, the ITA Regional on October 24^th-27^th in Athens, Ga. and the Landings Club Invitational on October 31^st - November 2^nd in Savannah.

The spring portion of the season starts on January 24^th, with a trip to Atlanta to face Georgia State.

Georgia Southern hosts two home matches in a row on January 31^st against North Florida and February 1^st against Hampton.

The Lady Eagles start conference play on February 21^st with a visit to Elon.

The first home conference match comes on February 28^th, when the newest SoCon member, Samford, comes to Statesboro.

The Women’s Tennis team finishes the regular season with a two match homestand. The Lady Eagles will face Chattanooga and College of Charleston on April 4^th and April 15^th respectively.

The Southern Conference Championships are set to be held April 23^rd-26^th at Elon, N.C.
