Georgia Southern enters Sunday’s match boasting a 9-4 overall ledger for the 2009 dual campaign and a 3-1 Southern Conference mark. Kristi Kegerreis, Molly Maddox, Melanie Rolle, Jessica Fuller and Shea Huxtable all won their respective singles matches en route to the conference win.
Huxtable and Rolle both remain undefeated in SoCon matches this season. Rolle is 4-0 from No. 4, while Huxtable holds a clean slate at No. 6. Rolle enters Sunday’s match looking to extend a seven-match win streak dating back to Bethune-Cookman on Feb. 14. Meanwhile, Huxtable is currently on a five-match win streak going unbeaten since the season-opening conference match at Elon.
The Catamounts (3-7 overall, 0-2 SoCon) are coming off a 7-0 sweep by the Wofford Terriers. The Terriers took every match off the courts to open their conference schedule with a win on March 17. WCU has earned dual wins over North Carolina A&T, Brevard and Mercyhurst.
Last season, Georgia Southern registered a 6-1 victory over WCU in Statesboro, Ga.
