Georgia Southern's Meisenhelder Named CCSA Women's Diver of the Week

STATESBORO, Ga. - Freshman Sara Meisenhelder (Carmel, Ind.) was named the Coastal Collegiate Swimming Association (CCSA) Diver of the Week for the week of January 24-30, as announced by the league on Wednesday.

Meisenhelder earned her first-ever weekly honor after winning both the 1-meter and 3-meter events against North Florida last weekend.  Her season-best score of 256.40 in the 3-meter just missed the Georgia Southern school record by .25 of a point.  The freshman also won the 1-meter board with a season-best score of 251.05.

The two wins on the boards versus North Florida bring Meisenhelder's first-place total to six this season. She has recorded top-three finishes in 10 of her 12 diving events on the year, including four victories in 1-meter competition.
