Hutchison Earns CCSA Diver of the Week Honors

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Georgia Southern junior diver Nikki Hutchison (Kennesaw, Ga.) was named Coastal Collegiate Swimming Association (CCSA) Diver of the Week for her performance this past weekend against Gardner-Webb, Florida A&M and Radford.

Hutchison picked up her first Diver of the Week award this season as she notched two first place finishes last Saturday. She becomes the third Georgia Southern diver to pick up the CCSA Women’s Diver of the Week award this season. Freshman Cassie Smith was the last Eagle to earn the award for her performance on the board against Davidson in October.

Hutchison posted a score of 197.45 in the 1-meter dive and earned a point total 134.85 in the 3-meter event.

The Eagles (7-1, 6-1) are back in the pool Saturday (Jan. 12) as they will host Savannah College of Art & Design and New Orleans.
