Bevillard Earns Academic All-America Honors
Bevillard, who completed her collegiate career with a 3.96 GPA, becomes the 10th Eagle all-time to earn Academic All-America honors. To be eligible for Academic All-America consideration, a student-athlete must be a varsity starter or key reserve, maintain a cumulative G.P.A. of 3.30 on a scale of 4.00, have reached sophomore athletic and academic standings at his/her current institution and be nominated by his/her sports information director.
This recent honor is one of many academic achievements for the Georgia Southern graduate. Twice selected as the Georgia Southern Scholar-Athlete of the Year in 2010 and 2011, Bevillard was awarded one of 13 prestigious NCAA Postgraduate Scholarships in the spring of 2011.
A member of the Coastal Collegiate Swimming Association (CCSA) All-Academic team, Bevillard posted a perfect 4.0 GPA for seven semesters of her academic career and helped lead Georgia Southern to six consecutive College Swimming Coaches Association of America Scholar All-America Team honors.
In the pool, Bevillard was a four-year letterwinner for the Eagles and owns the University record for the 200-yard Freestyle and was a member of four record-setting relay teams. At the 2011 CCSA Championships, Bevillard scored points in all three individual events and participated in four relay teams at the championships.
