Laliberte, Siliga Sweep SoCon Player of the Week Awards
Siliga batted .438 (7-of-16) during the week as the Eagles went 3-3. The Oceanside, Calif., native was perfect from the plate in the week’s opener against Presbyterian with a pair of hits, an RBI and a run scored. Siliga also finished the week with a four-hit game against Bowling Green as her three RBI helped GSU to a 7-0 win at the War Eagle Classic in Auburn, Ala.
Laliberte earned her second consecutive pitcher of the week nod by tossing two complete-game shutouts a two-hitter against Presbyterian (3-0) and a four-hitter against Bowling Green (7-0). For the week, Laliberte was 2-1 with a 0.64 ERA after allowing just two earned runs in 22 innings in the circle.
Laliberte received player of the week laurels for the sixth time in her career. Siliga got the honor for the first time.
