"Even though we didn't get the win today, we still accomplished our goal of winning the series," said Head Coach . "Appalachian State is a good team and they got the job done today. We had runners on base in the right situations, but at the end of the day we didn't get the win."

The Eagles, down to their final strike in the seventh, got hope in the form of a double by (Snellville, Ga.) off the fence in right. That, however, would be all Georgia Southern would get as Fogle popped out to short, ending the game.
The loss went to (Warner Robins, Ga.), her first career defeat after winning 10 games to start her career. She worked three and a third innings allowing three runs off four hits.
