Cross Country Team is set to compete at the SoCon Championships

STATESBORO, Ga. - The Georgia Southern cross country team is preparing for the Southern Conference Championship in Spartanburg, S.C. on Saturday at 10 a.m.

 

The Lady Eagles highest finish ever in the SoCon Championship is 7th place and under Coach Smith the Cross Country team’s highest finish has been 10th place. The cross country team will seek to improve on their performance from last season Saturday.

 

Georgia Southern will be sending eight runners to the meet including: Leah Bradley (McDonough, Ga.), Laura Fuller (Cartersville, Ga.), Shauntel Jennings (Stone Mountain, Ga.), Kassi Lee (Elberton, Ga.), Brittani Martin (Alpharetta, Ga.), Azura Robillard (Altamonte  Springs, Fla.), Melissa Royer (Cumming, Ga.) and London Ryles (Decatur, Ga.).

 

Admission to the SoCon Championship is free to the public and directions are posted on the SoCon Cross Country Championships page. The meet is slated to start at 10 a.m. in Spartanburg, S.C.
