Eagles Finish Tenth in Eye Opener Invitational
STATESBORO, G.a.- The Georgia Southern cross country team finished tenth at the 25th annual Eye Opener Invitational Saturday.
Leading the way for the Eagles was Sophomore Kassi Lee (Elberton, Ga.) with a time of 20:50 in the 5K. Other Eagles with strong showings include Junior Laura Fuller who registered a time of 21:22 and Freshman Azura Robillard (Apopka, Fla.) with a time of 21:26. Senior Shauntel Jennings (Stone Moutnain, Ga.) also ran well with a time of 21:31. Freshman Brittani Martin (Alpharetta, Ga.) and Leah Bradley (McDonough, Ga) finished with times of 22:19 and 22:37 respectively, as Sophomore Melissa Royer (Cumming, Ga.) crossed the line at 24:46.
The Eagles will race again Sept. 20th, in Rock Hill, S.C., at the Winthrop Meet.
