Women's Basketball Opens Homestand Saturday Against Davidson

■ Georgia Southern opens a three-game homestand by hosting Davidson Saturday at 5 p.m. in Hanner Fieldhouse.
■ It's the front end of a doubleheader with the GSU men's team. Fans who purchase a ticket to the women's game gain entry to the men's contest.
■ It's also Alumni Day, and an estimated 25 women's basketball alumnae, including Georgia Southern Hall of Famers Phylette Blake, Sharon Mitchell-Coleman and Regina Days-Bryan will attend the game and be introduced at halftime.
■ The Eagles play seven of their final 10 regular-season games in Hanner Fieldhouse, where they own a 2-3 record this season.
■ Georgia Southern has won two of its last three games and is coming off a 70-59 setback at Elon Monday.
■ MiMi DuBose is leading the team in scoring at 15.3 points a game. The junior ranks eighth on the GSU career list in 3-pointers (123) and has scored 20 or more points in seven games.

■ The Eagles opened SoCon play at Davidson Dec. 1. It's the fourth straight season GSU has opened league play on the road. The Eagles' first three league games were on the road.
■ The Eagles' 13 steals at Georgia State were the most since posting 17 against Wofford Jan. 24, 2011.
■ GSU's 71 points against Kent State were the most the Eagles have scored against a Division I opponent since a 72-49 win over Jacksonville State Nov. 26, 2011.
■ The Eagles' 24-point margin of victory over the Golden Flashes was their most over a Division I opponent since topping Mercer 76-45 Dec. 11, 2009.
■ The Eagles' 63-56 victory at UNCG Jan. 26, snapped a 10-game SoCon road losing skid. It was GSU's first road SoCon win since a 35-34 victory at College of Charleston Jan. 18, 2012.
■ Since the 2010-11 season, Georgia Southern has five losses by one point and 11 losses by five points or less. The Eagles have suffered three losses by four points or less this season.
■ GSU finished the 2012-13 campaign with a 1-8 record in non-conference games.
