Men?s Tennis Completes Day One of the Seminole Fall Invitational

Tallahassee, Fla. – The Georgia Southern men’s tennis team completed their first day of action at the Seminole Fall Invitational.

 

In the A draw of singles, Gregory Bekkers (Antwerp, Belgium) faced the number two seed Clint Bowles from Florida State. Bowles defeated Bekkers 6-4, 6-1.

 

In B singles, Wesley Powell (Bainbridge, Ga.) received a first round bye, and then faced Daniel Moser from UAB. Moser won 6-0, 6-1.

 

Alain Garrido (Vigo, Spain) also received a first round bye. He then went on to defeat Chris Reiman 6-4, 6-7(4), 6-0 and will face Dan Cornei from UAB Sunday. Cornei defeated Mark Paetz (Munich, Germany) 6-2, 6-1.

 

The Eagles continue play in the Seminole Fall Invitational Sunday.
