Men's Tennis Adds Rush to 2011 Signing Class

STATESBORO, Ga. - The Georgia Southern Men's Tennis program added another recruit to its 2011 Class as Daniel Rush signed a letter of intent to enroll at Georgia Southern and compete for the Eagles. Coach Nick Zieziula announced the signing of Rush on Tuesday, June 7th.

Rush, from Orange Park, Fla., advanced to the semifinals of the 2011 Florida High School Athletic Association (FHSAA) Class 2A Division I Boys singles tournament last month. He finished second in the 2011 FHSAA doubles tournament prior to his graduation from Ponte Vedra High School.  As the number-one player for the Sharks, he led Ponte Vedra to a second-place finish at the 2011 FHSAA Class 2A team championships. Tennisrecruiting.net ranks Rush as the No. 49 player in Florida for the graduating class of 2011.

'Daniel is a great addition to the squad," said Eagle Men's Tennis Coach Nick Zieziula. "He has a tremendous serve and forehand along with unlimited athletic ability. It is going to be a lot of fun to watch his game take off once he gets into our system."

TennisRecruiting.net recently recognized the 2011 Georgia Southern's Men's Tennis recruiting class as the 25th-best among mid-major programs based on earlier signings.
