Jon Cox Named to the Preseason All-SoCon Team

SPARTANBURG, S.C. - Junior, Jon Cox (Alpharetta, Ga.), the 2006 SoCon Freshman of the Year, was named to the Preseason All-SoCon Team.

 

The Coaches also predicted Georgia Southern to finish sixth ahead of Davidson and Wofford.

 

Furman was selected as the number one team and received six first place votes.

 

The Paladins finished last season with a record of 19-4 and advanced to the second round of the NCAA Tournament.

 

UNC Greensboro was selected second and received one first place vote.

 

The Spartans went 11-8-2 last year and 4-3 in conference play.

 

The College of Charleston received the only other first place vote and was tabbed as the third place team.

 

Jon Cox and the Eagles will start the regular season when they travel to Tulsa on Friday.
