Men?s Soccer Announces 2010 Schedule
STATESBORO, Ga. – Georgia Southern men’s soccer head coach Kevin Kennedy announced the slate for 2010 that includes tough non-conference opponents like N.C. The Eagles open the season at home with one of five regular-season games outside the two exhibition matches to be held at Eagle Field.
“We're very excited about our 2010 schedule. In addition to our Southern Conference matches that are always extremely competitive, we will face some very good opponents throughout the course of the season,” said head coach Kennedy. “With Clemson and N.C. State on the schedule, we will face some very good teams from the ACC. Additionally, when we travel to High Point, we will face two quality teams from the Big South. And we'll have the opportunity to host the current Big South Champion, Winthrop, in mid-September.”
A pair of practice exhibitions will prepare the Eagles for the regular season home opener against USC Upstate on September 1 at 4 p.m. GS then commences a four-game road swing beginning at Jacksonville (Sept. 7).
