Men?s Soccer Ends Hard Fought Battle with a Tie

Dahlonega, Ga. - Georgia Southern played a tough physical game, but had to settle for a 2-2 tie against North Georgia.

“It was a really physical match. We got some good shots and were able to put a couple of scores, but we made some mistakes and it cost us. However, we got to look at some different players and are learning a lot about them,” said Coach Kennedy.

Senior, B.J. Reine (Baton Rouge, La.) scored Georgia Southern’s first goal off an assist from fellow Senior, Daniel Smith (Marietta, Ga.).

Jon Pierre Anthony (Birmingham, Ala.) scored Georgia Southern’s second goal and tied the game on the unassisted shot.

The men’s soccer team returns to action tomorrow as they take on Lander in Greenwood, S.C. at 1 pm.
