Eagles to Face No. 25 Furman, Saturday

The Eagles (4-5-0, 1-1-0) are looking to build off the momentum of a 6-2 home victory over Wofford (Sep. 27) that saw six different Eagles each notch a goal.  The Paladins (7-1-0) recently had a seven-game win streak snapped by then-No. 22 Washington in a 1-0 overtime loss in Seattle (Sep. 23).

Second-year head coach Kevin Kennedy’s Eagle offense is spread out with three players claiming two goals, apiece: Daniel Smith (Marietta, Ga.), Luigi Clendening (Augusta, Ga.), Jon-Pierre Anthony (Birmingham, Ala.).  Smith leads the team in points (7) and assists (3).

Captained by 13-year head coach Doug Allison, Furman is led offensively by Brooks Duff with five goals and four assists.  Teammate Eric Baffour paces the team with six goals, while Eliot Paschalis and Patrick Murray tally a team-high five assists, apiece.  Paladin goalkeeper Bryan Amos has made starts in all eight games for Furman, recording four shutouts and 28 saves.
